Abstract

This presentation reviews the utility of MRI in the diagnostic workout of suspected and undifferentiated axial and peripheral inflammatory arthritis. Furthermore it briefly describes how magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be used for monitoring rheumatoid arthritis (RA), ankylosing spondylitis (AS), spondyloarthritis (SpA), and psoriatic arthritis (PsA), and for predicting the disease course. The position of MRI in recent EULAR recommendations will be discussed.
