  • The table shows influence on pristane-induced arthritis (PIA) in 422 advanced intercross lines (AIL) individuals by given QTLs as calculated with a multiple fit QTL model (R/QTL software), testing for either a 4 QTL or a 5 QTL model (dividing the QTL Pia27 into Pia27a and Pia27b), based on comparison between the model of phenotypic variance y ∼Q1+Q2+Q3+Q4 (+Q5) with models where each genetic component is excluded. Influence of the excluded component is confirmed when there is a significant difference (p<0.05) between phenotypic variance caused by all components and phenotypic variance caused by all components except the excluded component.
