The article by McBeth et al. [1] demonstrated a limited association of low levels of vitamin D with musculoskeletal pain in men. Another recent study from a multi-ethnic general practice in Norway also showed a high prevalence of hypovitaminosis D in patients with non-specific musculoskeletal pain, headache, or fatigue for whom the GP had suspected a low vitamin D level [2].
