2015, Autoimmunity ReviewsCitation Excerpt :Anti-ribosomal-P antibodies seem to be associated with depression [6,69,70]. Studies have confirmed this hypothesis, particularly with regard to an association with the neuropsychiatric manifestations, such as psychosis and depression [71–74]. The pathogenicity of the antibody in inducing depression was demonstrated in studies which mice were injected intracerebroventricularly with affinity-purified human anti-ribosomal P antibodies and developed depression-like behavior [6].
