Global Arthritis Research Network (GARN) Meeting: Call for Abstracts
Date:23-27 September 2008 Location: Yokohama, JAPAN

Aim & Scope:
The GARN was initiated by Drs. for Lipsky, Gay & Nishioka for establishing good, direct communication between scientists, whether working in the same subject area or in interdisciplinary research. The GARN promotes discussions and the free exchange of ideas at the research frontiers of Rheumatology. Scientists with common professional interests come together for a few days of intense discussion and examination of the most advanced aspects of the field. This meeting provides a valuable means of disseminating information and ideas in a way that cannot be achieved through the usual channels of communication - publications and presentations at large scientific meetings.

The purpose of GARN is to promote and encourage communication and scientific interactions and collaborations that facilitate the progress of basic and clinical research in arthritis and related condition. Over fifty younger, future leaders in the field of autoimmune diseases and arthritis-related conditions will be selected by the staring committee and invited to meet with senior leaders in molecular biology, immunology and rheumatology at Yokohama. Two thousands and five hundreds US dollars (2500$) will be donated to whom selected as speaker for travel fee. We (or GARN meeting committee) are pleased to announce the nominations no later than 2008 April 14th and sent to the Secretary General of the GARN Meeting.

The International Forum on Quality and Safety in Health Care
