Beresford YR 2016 UL http://ard.bmj.com/content/75/Suppl_2/16.5.abstract AB Introduction The paediatric connective tissue disorders and paediatric systemic vasculitides are rare, complex and can lead to significant associated morbidity and mortality. Evidence-based guidelines are sparse and management is mostly based on physician experience. Consequently, treatment regimens differ widely throughout Europe. In 2013, a European initiative called SHARE (Single Hub and Access point for paediatric Rheumatology in Europe) was launched to optimize and disseminate guidelines for diagnosis and management for children and young adults with paediatric rheumatic diseases (PRD) within Europe including the connective tissue disorders and vasculitides. Objectives To provide evidence-based recommendations for diagnosis and treatment of paediatric connective tissue disorders and systemic vasculitides. Methods Evidence based recommendations were developed using the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) standard operating procedure. International expert committees were instituted, consisting of paediatric rheumatologists with relevant expertise along with experts from other related disciplines. A detailed systematic literature review was undertaken, articles scored for validity and level of evidence. Recommendations derived from the literature were evaluated using an online survey, reformulated and discussed at a consensus meeting using the nominal group technique. Recommendations were accepted if more than 80% agreement is reached. Results Summary results of the systematic literature reviews overview of the final consensus SHARE recommendations will be presented. These provide evidence based, internationally agreed standards of minimal care for PRDs including the paediatric connective tissue disorders, rare as well as more common vasculitides. Specific detail will focus on childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus and the vasculitides. Conclusion The SHARE initiative provides recommendations for diagnosis and management treatment and thereby facilitates improvement and uniformity of care for patients throughout Europe.Disclosure of Interest None declared
