Among some of the most famous physicians were pathologist Anton Weichselbaum (top left), who described important details of rheumatoid arthritis (Archiv fur pathologische Anatomie und Physiologie und fur klinische Medizin, 1878) (top middle), and Moriz Kaposi (top right), who was the first to recognise the systemic nature of lupus erythematosus (Archiv fur Dermatologie und Syphilis, 1869).
