SP0164 Problems in Conventional Therapy in Osteoarthritis: A Case Presentation

Abstract

In this case presentation a 57-year old male patient is illustrated, who suffers from non-inflammatory arthralgia due to osteoarthritis. He visits the outpatient clinic with the specific question for advice with respect to pain management, especially for his hand pain since he is a technician in a dental laboratory. However, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) are contra-indicated by his ischemic cardiomyopathy, cerebral vascular accident, hypertension and ulcus duodeni in the past.
