Abstract

Technology has the potential to improve quality and efficiency of healthcare. It is important to involve end users in the design process of new technologies and interventions at an early stage to enhance the fit between the user, technology, and the organization of care. It improves usability, prevents the inclusion of unnecessary features and maximizes the likelihood of a successful adoption. This presentation gives an example of user involvement during the development of an eHealth intervention to stimulate physical activity in people with type 2 diabetes or COPD and will try to inspire you to co-create with end users by providing different methods for user involvement.
