Abstract

Most European countries offer post-graduate training programs in rheumatology. These programs are designed by national authorities. European recommendations on the structure and content of specialty training programs have been developed, however, it is unclear how far implementation has been undertaken. There is an increasing awareness of the heterogeneity of rheumatology post-graduate training across European countries. Educational activities outside the training programs should adapt to the unmet educational needs of young rheumatologists.
