The new EULAR EU Public Affairs Strategy EULAR's overarching goal is to improve the quality of life of people living with any form of rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Disease (RMD). One of the ways it does this is by influencing policymakers at the EU level, seeking their support for RMDs as a health, social and political priority.

For the first time in its history, EULAR has developed and published a Public Affairs strategy. This relates directly to EULAR's current five year strategy, Vision 2020, and sets out what and how EULAR will be campaigning to win greater support for RMDs over this period.

The lecture is designed to explain the thinking behind this strategy; describe the differences we have made so far and wish to make in future; and to set out practical ways that members and external stakeholders can become involved if they so wish.
